WOMEN'S ENTREPRENEURSHIP


Every year on Women's Day, L’OCCITANE sells a special product to help raise funds to support women's entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso.
Over 30 years of shared history have built a bond between L’OCCITANE and the women of Burkina Faso. To keep this bond strong, the L’OCCITANE Foundation has chosen to focus its actions on their economic emancipation.

MORE THAN 6 000 WOMEN BENEFICIARIES

In 2014, more than €140,000 have been raised thanks to the sell of a solidarity soap. Since 2006, almost 900 women have learned to read and write while over 6,000 women have benefited from microcredits and socio-economic trainings.
AN AMBITIOUS MICROCREDIT PROJECT

Since 2009, the L'OCCITANE Foundation has been supporting for instance a microcredit project with the NGO Entrepreneurs du Monde. Its goal : promote economic self-sufficiency and emancipation of 6,000 Burkibabe women.

The L’OCCITANE Foundation supports the visually impaired in the world and promotes women’s entrepreneurship in Burkina Faso. With an annual budget of €1,000,000, the Foundation finances around 15 projects every year.
